Requirements for walking with GOD
Revelation of the knowledge of a pre-existing God (john 1:1-3, Rom 10:14)
God is a spirit, so Men by the disadvantage of misalignment cannot grow into or suddenly come into the revelation of God’s existence
Accepting his Lordship (psalm 63:1a, 118:28, 143:10)
The revelation of his existence must imprint upon our heart his sovereignty because that is the meaning of the statement “GOD”, and also further lead us into submission to his rulership
Knowing that walking with God is the purpose of Man (Eccl 12:13, Acts 17:24-28,Gen 3:8,Ps 17:3)
In order to walk with God, we must know that the reason we have to walk with him is because it is the original plan of God in creation that man’s whole “purpose” is to follow after God all his days
Acknowledging your insufficiency which leads us to Humility (1sam 2:9, Rom 10:6-9, John 15:5, john 8:12,Rom 3:23,john 15:5)
The revelation of God will also make us see ourself in the light of his holiness and perfection. Our insufficiency will be laid bare before us, that we can do nothing to help ourself or fulfill the will of this Deity except he(“GOD”) helps us. Walking with God is simply being able to obey God’s instructions and there is no way to do that in our weak state.
Receiving his Help (Salvation) (john 3:3, Rom 10:10,13)
After acknowledging our insufficiency, we accept his help in salvation and the infilling of the holy spirit
Starting and continuing to diligently learn his ways and fellowship with him (Deuteronomy 8:6, Eph 2:10, Titus 2:14)
Walking with God is learning his ways, which is his “WORD”. Without continual fellowship with him and his words (instructions, his will) we can never please him. When you know what a man wants, that is when you will be able to please him. We must keep fellowshipping with him to the end that we will be able to say “in him we live and move and have our being”.
